ORGANISATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Alpha began as an introduction to the Christian faith for new Christians attending Holy Trinity Brompton church in central London.

When curate Nicky Gumbel took over the running of Alpha at HTB in 1990, he noticed its appeal to those who would not describe themselves as Christians. Alpha became increasingly popular and, after the first training conference for church leaders in 1993, began running in other churches in the UK and around the world.

Alpha International is a charity that publishes and promotes Alpha worldwide. Today it oversees not only Alpha, but also a range of associated ministries including Relationship Central; Worship Central and the William Wilberforce Trust.

Over 25 million people around the world have now done Alpha. It currently runs in 169 countries and in 112 languages.

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The ICT Systems Administrator, under the direction of the National Communications Manager, will assist in the development and implementation of an effective operational strategy within Alpha Australia that streamlines workflow for staff.

This includes but not limited to ICT, Device Management, G-Suite Administration, Salesforce, Campaign Monitor and Wordpress activities that will further the organisational objectives and goals of Alpha Australia.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND OUTCOMES

Key Result Areas

1.Organisational Accountabilities

  • Operate as a member of the team and contribute to a positive workplace culture across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in support of Alpha Australia's Mission and Vision and comply with Commonwealth and State Legislation.

2. Operations

  • Assist with the development and implementation of an effective Operational strategy within Alpha Australia that streamlines workflow for staff.
  • Ensure all Operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way with the optimal Operational management systems, process and best practices.

3. Salesforce

Salesforce Administrator experience strongly desired, including:

  • Development of workflows and process automation, including the use of Process Builder
  • Creating and maintenance of reports and dashboards
  • General development and maintenance of Salesforce and Custom Objects
  • Managing Salesforce data feeds and other integrations (i.e. with Campaign Monitor, Wordpress, Eventbrite and Zapier)
  • User Account Maintenance
  • General maintenance of internal systems, and ensuring preparedness for Salesforce.com upgrades

4. ICT

  • 1st Level G-Suite Administration including:
    • User Provisioning
    • Administration & maintenance of Groups
    • Cloud Print management
  • Development and implementation of Device Management Policies and Standard Operating Environment for Alpha-owned assets and "Bring Your Own Device", particularly with respect to:
    • G-Suite
    • Salesforce
    • Financial management systems
  • Development and implementation of Standardised Onboarding & Offboarding Processes with respect to IT systems and assets
  • Administration of corporate VOIP Phone System, including:
    • User provisioning
    • Maintenance of call routing
  • Training for users on IT systems where required
  • Liaison and manage relationship with 3rd Party IT Support
  • Liaison with, and system support for Communications initiatives and other various business processes (eg. forms, surveys, web systems, audience segmentation for subscriber lists)

5. Budget parameters

  • Work within the ICT and Operations budget efficiently and ensure all activities fall within budget parameters.

6. Reporting/Meetings

  • Identify, analyse, and report on data related to the performance of projects, campaigns, and activities to the NCM Manager as requested
  • Assist with the maintenance of operational and marketing and communications databases and provide monthly Salesforce reports

7. Other

  • Any other duties as directed by the NCM commensurate with the scope of this position

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in ICT or similar and/or relevant experience in a professional or voluntary capacity.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in ICT (computer devices, phone systems, internet connection), Google Suite, and Salesforce.
  • High level communication skills including excellent writing and language skills
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of organisational effectiveness and Operations management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Understanding of Australian church landscape

Staff responsibilities may at times be varied by Alpha Australia in order to allow response to operational needs or requirements.

The performance of the Communications Manager will be assessed on a regular basis having regard to:

  • The performance of the key responsibilities and accountabilities for this role;
  • Service levels and level of satisfaction expressed by key stakeholders;
  • Their ability to develop and maintain relations with Alpha Australia National Office staff, other Alpha Australia Staff, and external bodies.
