MAF is a not-for-profit team of aviation professionals providing air transport in places of deepest human need - remote places where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline. MAF aircraft fly over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts in over 30 countries to bring thousands of men, women and children medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope.

MAF Australia’s mission is to promote MAF’s transformational aviation and communications ministry in Australia and to encourage engagement from Australia in order to enable MAF’s global operational activities.

About the role:

Accountable to the MAF Australia Recruitment Manager, the overall objective of this role is to take responsibility for and drive the day-to-day recruitment process for MAF Australia missionaries:

  • Build credible relationships with those expressing interest in international MAF mission service
  • Facilitate clear communication with all stakeholders of the recruitment process
  • Manage the recruitment pipeline with an understanding that people are the most precious resource entrusted into the care of MAF
  • Ensuring the privacy of that information obtained
  • Providing all stakeholders with a positive experience when engaging with the organisation
  • Uphold MAF’s values, ethos and recruitment policies
  • Ensure that the recruitment process produces high calibre staff for international mission’s service with MAF International.

Qualifications/Skills (Essential):

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a role which included HR related tasks
  • Strong relationship building and organisational skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering a professional recruitment function
  • Excellent communication skills (English)

  • Appropriate Qualification
  • Experience with various recruitment systems as well as assessment measurement tools
