About the role

Within your role as Chaplaincy Practice Lead, you will be responsible for researching and implementing best practice strategies for our chaplaincy programs, and facilitating the professional development of our Chaplaincy Team. You will enjoy training our team of chaplains as well as encouraging the broader organisation to understand and implement spiritual care.

Providing leadership, mentoring and support to our chaplains who serve our Aged Care residents and Housing clients, you will work to nurture a healthy community and Jesus centred spirituality with those in your circle of influence. 

About you

You are a genuine, authentic individual who is approachable and compassionate in nature.  You will have well developed communication skills with the demonstrated ability to establish and build rapport with a range of people.

You are a caring and positive role model to others and have proven leadership and management skills with the capacity to deliver results, inspire and motivate teams, and work across organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals.

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • The ability to be endorsed as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland with a demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and the authority of the Christian Bible;
  • Recognised pastoral care or ministry qualification or equivalent experience;       
  • Solid experience in active participation in a leadership or ministry role in a Christian Church or organisation.
