OVERVIEW

SIM Australia is seeking a person with a heart for God to faithfully serve partners of SIM's missionaries and projects.

The Partner Relations (PR) Team Leader is responsible for both day-to-day management of interactions with SIM Australia’s donors and other ministry partners, providing excellent service to them and seeking to enhance their contact experience and relationship with SIM. In addition, the PR Team Leader is responsible for the oversight of donation processing by the PR team.

The PR Team Leader is also responsible for leadership, training and coaching of the PR Team.

The 12 month contract position is at SIM Australia’s Sydney office. (Full-time – Monday-Friday).

Essential knowledge, skills and competencies

A successful candidate will need:

  • A Christian faith - A heart to follow Jesus and participate in a church community.
  • Strong inter-personal skills - Has the ability to encourage donors and churches to grow their relationship with SIM through prayer and financial support of our missionaries and projects. (via phone, email and other forms of communication). Ability to work with enthusiasm and energy to motivate a team and our partners.
  • Team leadership and coach - Facilitate effective and practical coaching, training and team leadership of a small team of assistants.
  • Partner communication and interaction – Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicates professionally and confidently on the phone, email and other forms of communication.
  • Team player with strong organisation skills and attention to detail – Ability to both follow and improve processes to enhance the interaction experience with donors and other  ministry partners.
  • Effective troubleshooting and decision-making skills – Ability to troubleshoot and provide oversight to operational issues, take action and advise PR team members in relation to donation processing and interactions.
  • Donor database management and enhancement – Data management and entry management experience with either donor/customer databases (with ThankQ or similar). Help resolve day-to-day issues and enhance the system and reporting to inform decisions.


Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with donor databases (with ThankQ or similar non-profit database) or Customer Relation Management (CRM) tools.
  • Experience with donor reporting and analytics (or similar business reporting)
  • Experience with processing of donations or similar transactions.
  • Ability to multitask, exercise flexibility and be capable of learning on the job. A level of in-house training will be provided for the role.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Previous clerical experience.


SUMMARY

The Partner Relations Team Leader role covers a range of activities as part of a Christ-centred, devoted and enthusiastic organisation, within a pleasant and supportive team environment.

Initial employment will be through a 1 year employee agreement. It is highly probable that a permanent position may be offered to the right candidate.
