Hebron School a Christian, International
co-educational residential school, located in the beautiful Niligiris Hills of
South Indian. Hebron School is an independently managed, multicultural,
co-educational residential School. Founded in 1899 to serve the Christian
worker community of India and South-East Asia. The School continues to fulfil
its original purpose despite its growth in size and is styled an International
School recognised by the Government of India and the State of Tamil Nadu.
It is a predominantly boarding school existing to provide an affordable International education (drawn from a British
tradition) based on sound principles for
360 students aged 5 to 19 years. It seeks to
provide schooling for children whose parents work in Asia, Africa and the Gulf
Region in addition to others who require an International education. Hebron
School offers the English National Curriculum, culminating in the GCSE, IGCSE
and GCE AS/A2 examinations.

Hebron is looking for an enthusiastic and
well-qualified graduate to teach Design & Technology. Candidates will have the
ability to teach Design Technology to KS3, GCSE and A level. Applicants should
be conversant with the use of both CAD/CAM and traditional manufacturing
processes to generate creative design solutions.
You should have a fresh approach and strong curriculum knowledge. You
must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards
in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a
collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery
of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the
use of ICT. The person we are seeking will have excellent
relationships with students and staff and be keen to make Design &
Technology exciting & engaging.
Ideal candidates will have and will ensure that the
lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging
approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
We will consider applications from newly qualified
and experienced teachers.
The right candidate for us
will be someone who can demonstrate:
· Experience and knowledge of teaching Design
& Technology, within a secondary school (ages 11-18);
· Excellent curriculum knowledge and how to
sequence the skills and knowledge needed;
· A record of / commitment to outstanding teaching
and securing high levels of pupil progress;
· Experience of or a commitment to wider school
responsibilities;
· Exceptional interpersonal and organisational
skills;
· Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or
equivalent (QTS)
Remuneration at
local Indian rates, Food and accommodation. Free Tuition for two children per
staff member and other expenses incurred (as per terms and conditions) whilst
serving as a voluntary employee.
