Manager Fresh Hope Engage Partnerships

Now over 125 years old, Fresh Hope, a ministry of Churches of Christ in NSW, consists of a network of over 90 churches. As a not-for-profit Christian organisation, our key agencies in NSW include Fresh Hope Care, Fresh Hope Venues and Fresh Hope Mission & Ministry which provide a range of services to support the sectors of aged care, social and community welfare, hospitality and ministry.

Your new role as Manager Fresh Hope Engage Partnerships is responsible for managing Fresh Hope Engage church partnerships, focussing on an evaluation and review of current church projects and investigating new partnership and projects opportunities. There is great opportunity for growth, particularly in social and affordable housing, and you will be responsible for sourcing and managing government funding for wrap-around services.

 

Reporting to the Ministry Leader, Fresh Hope Engage:

Your main responsibilities will include:

·       You will visit church partners, provide training and support assist with funding opportunities including grant applications; ensuring compliance with Fresh Hope Engage partnerships agreements and accountabilities requirements;

o   Manage and review Partnership Agreements for all Engage projects, including implementing the new partnership agreements Templates;

o   Liaise and visit with Church Partnership ministry and project staff with the aim to enhance the ministry and performance of Engage partnerships through evaluation, training and investigating new opportunities;

o   Identify areas of community need and develop appropriate programs and activities to address those needs, including creating and developing new projects with pioneering churches;

o   Develop specialist focus areas for Fresh Hope Engage around the prevention of Domestic Violence, Homelessness and investigate wrap around services in the provision of social and affordable housing;

o   Develop further detailed resources and clearer identifiable framework for Fresh Hope and Churches to deliver effective ministry, community and best practice outcomes.

 

·       A key component of this role will be managing funding agreements and acquittals with various government agencies, including compliance and policy development, acquittals and liaison with government representatives.

o   Manage key relationships with government agencies, monitor and review funding arrangements and research and pursue new opportunities;

o   Prepare funding submissions, research new funding opportunities; prepare strong, inspiring funding applications;

o   Manage and ensure government funded projects are compliant with government standards and regulations, organise funding execution and provide yearly acquittals;

o   Participate and attend relevant community development forums arranged by funding agencies;

 

To be successful in your new role you will need:

·       To be successful as a Partnership Manager, you should have a strong demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels and strong presentation and public speaking skills;

·       Demonstrated experience in managing church partnerships, leading and coordinating community development projects;

·       Qualifications in either community development, social welfare, counselling or related fields;

·       Grant writing skills and experience in securing and managing funding agreements with relevant government agencies, including facilitating the grant acquittal process;

·       Working knowledge of relevant legislation, governance and compliance standards required in government funding relevant to the sector;

·       Ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with and obtain the respect and trust of a range of stakeholders including Fresh Hope churches, Fresh Hope Mission and Ministry, and other Fresh Hope agencies;

·       Effective time management including the ability to determine priorities;

·       Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;

·       Personal alignment with the values and mission of Churches of Christ in NSW;


A current Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care, Working with Children Check and current driver’s license (with willingness to undertake regular travel) are essential.
