Position Title: Human Resource Officer

Concern Australia is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation that has, for nearly 50 years, worked with vulnerable young people and children, creating opportunities that see them reach their potential. We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Officer to oversee all HR administrative procedures and policies as well as drive organisational culture initiatives in order to create a positive and healthy workplace. This will include the following responsibilities:


·       Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

·       Update all HR policies and procedures in line with accreditation standards and best practice

·       Actively participate and manage the end to end recruitment process

·       Maintain our HR records management system in line with legislative and regulatory body requirements

·       Create and report on HR metrics

·       Administration tasks under the OH&S framework

·       Deliver delegated projects in a timely manner


Reporting directly to the General Manager of Business Operations and located in Braybrook, this role presents a great opportunity for you to combine your skills in HR with the passion for giving hope to the disadvantaged young people in Melbourne. Your work will allow each of our programs to thrive and grow!

Minimum requirements of the role include:

o      Completion of an HR qualification and/or proven relevant experience in an HR position (minimum 5 years experience)

o      Sound understanding of ER legislation including NES, FWA and Award interpretation

o      Excellent communication & presentation skills

o      Demonstrated experience in successful organisational culture initiatives

o      Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications

o      Proof of your eligibility to work in Australia. (Australian birth certificate, Australian passport, Australian citizenship or a working visa)

o      Provision of information establishing your identity through a Proof of Identity check

o      Consent to a National Police Check and International police check

o      Details of professional referees able to validate information on your skills, knowledge, capabilities, conduct and behaviour

o      Employee Working With Children Check
