About the business

A 10 year old discrete Charitable Trust with sizeable net assets has a newly created role for an Assistant Accountant, Office Manager (reporting to the CFO).

About the role

You will have a pivotal role, part of a team of nine professionals who have a desire to use their skills to make a positive impact in the areas of climate change, Indigenous Australians, disability and Christian Faith.

It is a very autonomous role in a Cloud office environment, with no day being the same and with a lot of variety. A typical day may have you using your skills with:

  • Bookkeeping, cash flow and financial reporting
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Assisting with preparation of BAS, IAS and other tax related returns
  • Document preparation and management
  • Accounting and administrative support to the CFO, CEO & Directors
  • Office management and general administration (20%)

Skills and experience

Ideally you will bring to the role:

  • Strong organisational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • A team player
  • Experience with Xero accounting software (preferred)
  • Experience with financial reporting, year end process and record keeping
  • High standard of verbal and written comprehension and communicatio
  • Excellent Excel, Mac software/MS Office skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with chang
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and experience

The role is 3 days per week, 22.5 hours (or spread across 4 or 5 days). Eastern Suburbs location (close to train/tram).
