Prison Fellowship Australia are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to facilitate and coordinate our growing work in NSW/ACT.

Organisation Overview
Prison Fellowship Australia (PFA) is a Christian not-for-profit organisation with 38 years experience serving alongside Correctional Service Departments throughout Australia.  Our vision is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with prisoners and their families.  We are a chartered ministry of Prison Fellowship International and have over 1100 volunteers nationally, including more than 350 in NSW/ACT.

Position Overview
This full-time position recruits, trains, supports and recognises volunteers to maximise volunteer effectiveness.  The role seeks to ensure an engaging volunteer journey is developed, ensure optimum numbers of appropriate volunteers are engaged, enforces adherence to National PFA behavioural standards and Corrective Services expectations and develop a positive, Christ-Centred cooperative and safe culture amongst volunteers.

Reporting to the PFA NSW/ACT State Manager, this role will be based at our Toongabbie office, however will also require travel throughout NSW/ACT.  The role will also include some weekend and evening hours in order to facilitate volunteer recruitment, training, etc.

Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

·    Experience in HR and/or volunteer management

·    Experience in conducting training

·    Excellent organisational skills, advanced computer skills and strong communication skills

·    Experience working in a Christian ministry/mission organisation

·    An understanding of the prison environment / prison ministry
