12-month contract, part-time

North/West region


An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and experienced youth worker to work in the Hand Brake Turn Program at Concern Australia.

We are seeking for an experienced youth worker to deliver high quality support services to young people. You will connect, coach and support our young people.  


The Position:

Youth workers provide support and assertive outreach to young people. The position exists to work alongside with young people within the Hand Brake Turn program, equipping them with life skills that promote independence.  Duties include:

·    Connect by assist with the assessment of young people’s accommodation and support needs

·    Advocating on behalf of young people

·    Coach by providing support for young people to develop life and living skills

·    Helping young people build independence

·    Assisting young people to use their time meaningfully

·    Display an ongoing commitment to the development of collaborative relationships

·    Assist with data collection and reporting requirements

·    Assist in the development of client plans

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

·    Proof of your eligibility to work in Australia. (Australian birth certificate, Australian passport, Australian citizenship or a working visa)

·    Information establishing your identity through a Proof of Identity check

·    Consent to a National Police Check or International police check

·    Proof of relevant mandatory qualifications gained

·    Details of referees able to validate information on your skills, knowledge, capabilities, conduct and behaviour

·    Employee Working With Children Check
