VIC State Director

FamilyVoice Australia, is a national Christian voice that has been promoting family values for the benefit of all Australians since 1973. Its vision is to see strong families at the heart of a healthy society, where marriage is honoured, human life is respected, families can flourish, Australia’s Christian heritage is valued and fundamental freedoms are enjoyed. 

A faith-funded position, the Victoria State Director role encompasses passionate and prayerful leadership of the VIC branch of FamilyVoice Australia, under the guidance of the National Director, in collaboration with the VIC branch committee and other FamilyVoice apologists. Your role will involve growing the support base of FamilyVoice Australia in VIC, developing partnerships with Christian Churches across the denominational spectrum and presenting a Christian perspective on current family issues in the civic arena.

Other responsibilities will include:

·       Engaging with federal and state parliamentarians, local councillors and other civic leaders as required;

·       Arranging engagements with churches, fellowships, schools and Bible colleges;

·       Promotion, fundraising, team building and event organisation;

·       Providing leadership to the VIC branch and contributing to policy development for the association.

We are looking for a servant-leader who is strongly aligned to our values, who has the ability to inspire and influence others, to build solid relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, church leaders and governments. You will possess integrity, be highly organised, have sound financial acumen and have the unique ability to engage people in the work and mission of FamilyVoice Australia.

You have a genuine passion for families and proven experience dealing with major donors and key stakeholders. You can demonstrate ability in public speaking and you possess a sound understanding of the dynamics of faith communities, local church congregations and not-for-profit organisations.

Ideally you will be tertiary-qualified in theology or business, have a clear calling and heart for families and be able to demonstrate proven management experience either in ministry or business.
