About us

WorldShare is a Christian aid and development organisation. We believe that God is the defender of the vulnerable and calls us to help those in need. Motivated by Jesus’ call to love our neighbour, we support local Christian partner organisations in developing countries around the world.

Our vision is to see lives transformed as people connect to love like Jesus. Together, we restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten. We assist our partner organisations in their programs which care for the marginalised by protecting children, empowering women, providing education and health care, and demonstrating the love of God. We bring Australian supporters together to resource and encourage our overseas partners, through generous giving, faithful prayer and overseas partner visits. We focus primarily on international aid and development - on protecting and helping those who are marginalised, mistreated and oppressed in developing countries.

Operating since 1943, WorldShare is an established organisation and is currently going through an exciting period of change and evolution.

The role

This is a critical new role created to help our supporters connect with our work overseas and be part of transforming lives and building God’s kingdom.

Working closely with the Marketing and Fundraising Director, you will be responsible for providing timely and creative copy and lead the transformation of ideas into highly engaging and emotive content for a range of channels and audiences. You are more than just an outstanding writer, you have a strong eye for design, commercial acumen and a natural marketing flair. You have a strong focus on bottom-line results and are accountable for the contribution that your writing makes. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the organisation’s income growth strategy.

*It may be possible for this role to be full-time, with job sharing opportunities with another Christian organisation. Please enquire if you are interested in this option.

About you

First and foremost, you are passionate about God’s call to care for the outcast and forgotten around the world and would love the opportunity to communicate this in creative and compelling ways.

You have a solid track record in copy writing, content development, design and managing content management systems.

You have strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities and complete assignments within timeframes.

You can manage multiple stakeholder relationships to achieve concrete outcomes.

If the above criteria sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
