Executive Assistant
Flexible PT Contract | Sydney, NSW

The Centre for Public Christianity (CPX) is a not-for-profit media company that offers a Christian perspective on contemporary life. We seek to promote the public understanding of the Christian faith by engaging mainstream media and the general public with high quality well-researched print, video and audio material about the relevance of Christianity in the 21st century.

This vibrant and cutting edge team are seeking someone who is well organised, a clear communicator and is passionate about supporting our work and mission.

CPX Offers:

·       Flexible Part Time role (22 hours worked over 3-5 days, as negotiated)

·       Connection and liaison with a wider family of Christian organisations under Bible Society Australia, including Koorong Books, Eternity News and the Bible Society itself.

Role Specifics:

The role of the Executive Assistant will provide the crucial role of assisting the Executive Director and CPX team by:

·       Managing the ED’s commitments, including diaries, meeting arrangements, travel plans and acting as gatekeeper;

·       Managing ED’s emails and correspondence;

·       Managing incoming and outgoing communications from the CPX office;

·       Managing the communication, administration and co-ordination of major donor visits;

·       Monitoring tasks given to the CPX team to ensure project delivery, in particular coordinating reports and executive responsibilities;

·       Assisting with the coordination of events, meetings and materials;

·       Performing general office duties.

Key Criteria:

·       At least 3 years’ experience in office management at a senior level

·       Proven communication and interpersonal skills

·       Self-motivated and shows initiative

·       Superior organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills

·       Understanding of common software and social media platforms

·       Capability to work across PC and Mac platforms

·       Ability to prioritise

·       Ability to work well under pressure

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       A preparedness to respond to needs of an international organisation outside office hours

·       An ability to manage both upwards and across the organisation

·       A friendly and patient manner

·       An understanding of and commitment to the Christian and non-government charity sectors

·       Previous work in Not for Profit/Church/Charity (desirable)
