Job Description:

Bible Society Australia (BSA) is an Australian not-for-profit charity dedicated to making the Bible available to all people, in Australia and around the world, in a language they can understand, in a format they can use, and at a price they can afford. Founded in 1817, BSA is part of a fellowship of 152 Bible Societies around the world. The mission of BSA is to translate, publish, distribute and engage people with the Bible, both in Australia and internationally.

Reporting to the Manager of Mission, this role is part of the National Missions Team which operates throughout Australia and the world. Based primarily in Sydney, but encompassing Bible work around Australia, the purpose of this role is to advocate or engage Australians with the Bible. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Bible based campaigns, programmes, products and events in partnership with likeminded Christian organisations and individuals that will fulfil BSA’s mission statement.


Job Requirements:

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have-

·       Experience within Church ministry environments

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills demonstrably used with remote stakeholders or remote teams

·       Good business acumen

·       Strong project/event management skills and ability to manage budgets

·       Organised approach to planning, prioritising and time management

·       Proven communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

·       Desire to work across denominations

·       Ability to implement and manage under pressure

·       Self-motivator and self-starter

·       Ability to inspire enthusiasm in teams and event participants

·       Experience or ability to manage event

·       Ability to pray and read the Bible with partners and staff

·       Ability to use the Bible as a basis to Mission projects and events

·       Understanding of the needs of partners and desire/ability to meet those needs
