Christian Heritage College
  Return to listings

Citipointe Ministry College (CMC) is seeking an Academic Leader and Lecturer for our Ministries courses, with a January 2018 start.

Citipointe Ministry College (CMC) is a ministry of Citipointe Church Brisbane and is the School of Ministries of Christian Heritage College (CHC).

Citipointe Ministry College (CMC) is the national college of the large group of Australian Pentecostal churches, the International Network of Churches (INC).

CMC is about to celebrate 40 years of effective ministry and is undertaking a strategic season of expansion.

Expressions of interest are welcome for our Carindale, Brisbane campus. We are looking for an academic leader who is not just a great teacher. The ideal candidate will have education experience (and ideally qualifications), the ability to coach, establish culture, outwork strategic projects, lead accreditation processes and develop curriculum.

Minimum qualification is a relevant Masters or Bachelor degree.  Teaching is a combination of face to face and external (Moodle).  We are looking for a record of high quality, transformational teaching and commitment to the Christian mission of CMC and CHC. Possibilities exist for combining teaching with PhD or DMin studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching (including tutoring, lecture preparation and delivery, marking of assessments, and administration) within Higher Education programs of the School of Ministries
  • Involvement in and some leadership of key academic processes and committees, including curriculum development
  • Outworking of strategic projects (quality, key drivers, student experience, internships, marketing etc) in conjunction with the Principal.

Job Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion/near completion of a relevant Master’s or PhD Degree (desirable), plus completion of Bachelor Degree (essential).   Enrolment in a relevant PhD or DMin program is encouraged.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith that informs one’s professional and personal choices and commitments.
  • Affinity with the values and traditions of INC and CHC as a Pentecostal college.
  • Evidence of excellent administration and IT skills;
  • Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education within the church;
  • Proven people, communication, collaboration and ministry skills.
  • Evidence of self-initiative and capacity.

This is a unique role in a unique season of CMC. Your Expression of Interest will also be considered in conjunction with the following filters: chemistry and organisational fit; local church leadership and ministry experience; current commitment to a local church; and your clarity about and commitment to your next strategic ministry season. To that end, we are willing to craft a mutually beneficial role with the ideal candidate within CMC that meets our medium-term goals. Ideally, the role will be full-time.

Please send a brief letter explaining your interest in leading and teaching at Citipointe Ministry College and a resume to our Principal, Ps Andrew Staggs astaggs@citipointechurch.com

First round of Expressions of Interest to be received COB Monday 18 December 2017.
