The Organisation

The Role
The Project Officer will work both independently and in consultation with Senior Consultant around the development, implementation, management and administration of the Funded Church Partnership Project, specifically by:

  • Supporting Baptist Churches who are working with vulnerable members of their local community to develop strong project proposals for the Funded Church Partnership Project.
  • Work closely with Baptist Churches of SA and the local Baptist congregations who are developing and delivering projects in order to monitor that outcomes and outputs are on track and in line with the use and accountability conditions of the funds
  • Develop and source resources that will support Churches to best meet and measure project outcomes from a strength-based framework
  • Ensure that models of collaboration are done in line with Baptist Care’s Strategic Direction and legal requirements as a Charity.

The Person
Key requirements:

  • Relevant qualification such community or business management with relevant work experience in project management and church ministries.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with vulnerable individuals and groups
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a faith based organisation
  • Demonstrate administrative and project management skills and experience in working with outcome measures
  • Demonstrate understanding of strength based community work and client-centred care
  • Evidence of advanced interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
  • Experience in project management would be an added advantage

Additionally, you must have or be willing to obtain the following: 

  • A valid full South Australia driver’s license (C Class)
  • A valid DCSI: Child-Related Employment Screening
  • A valid National Police Check
  • Training – Child Safe Environments
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours will be required
  • Travel within South Australia and interstate would be required
  • In good standing with Baptist Churches in South Australia
