We are seeking an experienced applicant for the position of Director of Ministries within Northwest Community Ministries. Northwest Community Ministries is the practical ministry arm of Northwest Community Baptist Church (NWCBC), which operates in the rapidly changing North West region of Greater Sydney. We are seeking to position the organisation to meet some of the physical and spiritual needs of this changing community through new and existing ministries.

The Director of Ministries will be responsible for leading and developing the organisation according to its purpose, which is to assist Northwest Community Baptist Church in the fulfillment of its vision and mission, by maintaining existing ministries and developing new ministries under the guidance of the Board.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in working with the board as they seek to develop and implement the mission of the organisation. As well as having proven success in the Not for Profit sector, the applicant will be able to demonstrate their track record in identifying new ministry opportunities whilst at the same time leading a diverse team in existing operations.

The position will be part-time (3 days per week) and based out of the offices of Northwest Community Ministries located in Kings Park. The position will report directly to the board.

  12. Able to manage a multi ethnic and multi generational team
  13. Good conflict resolution skills
